Externship, Clinical Rotations, Field Work and Graduate Services

All programs require an externship, clinical rotation and/or fieldwork experience that consists of unpaid work experience in a physician’s office, hospital, clinic or other appropriate work location. Students will not be paid a salary since this a part of their graded educational program.

Students are eligible for graduation and employment assistance only after successful completion of the required number of hours for their externship, clinical rotation, and/or fieldwork experience.

Employment assistance is available to all Western Career College graduates without charge. Part of every student’s education involves job search training, orientation to the job market, resume writing, and interview techniques.

Ultimately, success in securing employment depends largely on the graduate’s efforts and motivation, as well as his/her educational performance. Due to vast differences in employers and areas of employment, Western Career College does not guarantee employment, nor does it guarantee jobs within specific salary parameters or in specific areas.
